Carbon Fibre Monocoque


We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new made-to-order carbon fibre monocoque chassis, TR01.

Designed and built by DASH using decades of composite experience and industry-leading expertise, we manufacture the chassis using a new process that allows us to minimise weight while ensuring exceptional stiffness and strength.


From the outset, we intended to develop an extremely versatile chassis that could be used for ICE, BEV and hybrid applications.


As such, TR01 is designed to integrate with a variety of powertrain types for both fast road (supercar, hypercar) and motorsport – an accessible blank canvas to create high-performance vehicles.


Key details:

●      Stiffness: 35,000Nm/Deg

●      Weight: <50 kilograms

●      Price: start from £30k (MOQ apply).

●      Size: two-seater sports/racing car


Using Advanced Manufacturing & Robotics We have been able to drive costs down to make this chassis a viable option.


As TR01 is made to order, elements – like the subframes and the centre console - can be made bespoke.

Importantly, Dash has designed the chassis to rigorous standards and the FEA engineering ensures that TR01 is ready for EuroNCAP & FMSS testing should your programme require it.

Today's KNOWLEDGE Share If a relatively high Mw grade flows from thin to thick, as shown in the picture, and if the time needed to fill the thick section is way shorter than the average polymer relaxation time, the polymer will not be able to reach its higher viscosity (corresponding to higher thickness/lower shear-rate). I am assuming here the polymer reached equilibrium low viscosity in the thin section, say for instance because it is much longer. Any pressure prediction not accounting for transient rheology would then overpredict the pressure to fill.Of course the diverging flow will further complicate the situation and mess with the molecular orientation created in the thin section, but to what extent ? Since this is more of a reasonable "conjecture", don't take this for granted, and discuss or share your opinion in the comments. There are hundreds of Rheology papers on the "4:1 contraction flow". Not sure I have ever seen any on the..."1:4 expansio
