But a snap-fit that works perfectly in CAD can still crack after only a few assembly cycles. ๐ What determines a good snap-fit? ๐งช Material selection Flexible materials such as PP, PA or POM generally tolerate repeated deformation better than brittle plastics. ๐ Beam length & thickness A longer, thinner snap arm can usually flex more easily and generates lower strain. ๐ Root radius Sharp corners concentrate stress.
