FOCUS ON YOUR CONTROL IN LIFE

Image
Focus on what you can control Let go of what you can’t Life throws us curveballs. Some we expect, many we don’t. This year has been one of those chapters. It’s hard. But I’m learning something powerful: You can’t control the outcome. You can only control your response. 1/ Your mindset 2/ Your boundaries 3/ Who and what you give your energy to When we focus on things outside our control - like other people’s opinions, mistakes from the past, or “what ifs” about the future - it drains us. But when we stay present, and take care of our words, our energy and ourselves, we find power again. ↳ It doesn’t mean life gets easier ↳ It means we get stronger Stress, worry, and fear feed off our focus. So redirect it. We can do this. We can ask for help. And we can move forward - one choice at a time. ⤵️ What’s one thing you could let go of? ♻️ Repost to remind others that boundaries are a form of strength. source : Jen Blandos ,

Arkema expands its Kynar® PVDF production capacity in China to support strong market growth

Image
Arkema announces a 20% expansion of production capacity at its Changshu Kynar® PVDF manufacturing site in China scheduled to start up in 2028. This significant investment reflects the Group’s strategy to increase its Kynar® PVDF footprint at a pace and with capabilities that match the strong and accelerating demand across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. Arkema unveils a 20% expansion of  its Kynar® PVDF production  capacity at its Changshu site in China, with the new unit expected to start up in 2028. This additional capacity is designed to support the strong and sustained growth in demand for #Kynar®PVDF across all key markets, including  lithium-ion batteries  for #electricvehicles (EV) and  energy storage systems  (ESS), high-performance coatings, chemical processing industries, # semiconductor manufacturing ,  water filtration , and wire and cable. This project will meet the highest standards of operational excellence refl...

3D printed models that simulate bones

Image
3D printed models that simulate bones are transforming medical education, surgical preparation, scientific study, and the creation of medical devices by providing healthcare experts, scientists, and engineers with lifelike, patient-specific copies of bone structures. Producing these bone-simulation models on-site presents several benefits over traditional methods involving cadaver bones or generic models obtained from external sources: reduced expenses, faster production times, and the ability to generate customized or patient-specific designs. “Biomed Durable strikes the perfect match between the little flexibility that thinner bones provide with realistic fractures under pressure. Combined with the ease of printability, this material is a great fit for medical simulation.” -Dr. Lauren Schlegel, MD, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Learn more about Bio-Med Durable: https://buff.ly/zgB1Lht source : Kae Woei Lim

Today's KNOWLEDGE Share : Why your O-rings stop sealing after 6 months

Image
Today's KNOWLEDGE Share Why your O-rings stop sealing after 6 months (The science of permanent deformation)? In sealing design, "set" is the silent enemy of long-term reliability. An O-ring with a standard 25% squeeze may pass initial validation, yet fail months later due to the Compression Set (ASTM D395)—the permanent loss of elastic memory. When an elastomer is held under load, its polymer chains are physically displaced. Over time accelerated by thermal energy these chains undergo chemical stress relaxation. The original cross-links that provide restorative force break and reform in the compressed state. Essentially, the material "forgets" its original shape and stabilizes in the flattened geometry. Once the stored energy required to maintain contact pressure against the groove walls vanishes, the seal fails. For R&D and Quality teams, the takeaway is that Hardness alone is an insufficient predictor of longevity. Validation must simulate the specific tim...

Advancing high-quality #circularsolutions for industrial #packaging in Europe.

Image
#GCR Plastics solutions launched a strategic collaboration with #RIGK GmbH to carry out an advanced industrial recycling trial for post-consumer #packaging from the German PAMIRA and GVĂ– systems. The trials combined controlled collection and traceability at source (via RIGK) with advanced mechanical #recycling technologies at our recycling facility, part of a €100M investment programme aligned with the upcoming hashtag #PPWR . Advanced hot washing, sorting, extrusion and high-efficiency deodorisation processes were implemented to eliminate contaminants and volatile substances, achieving purity levels not previously attainable in these complex industrial streams. With full analytical validation (including chromatography and pilot-scale performance testing), the project demonstrates that highly demanding post-consumer #industrialpackaging can be safely reintegrated into new production cycles with robust quality, safety and traceability assurance. Following the successful validation ...

Belotti and Moi Composites: a strategic partnership to advance digital manufacturing processes for thermoset matrix composites

Image
Belotti S.p.A. and #MoiComposites S.r.l. announce the formalization of a technological partnership for the launch of the new range of “Belotti Powered by Moi” machining centers, designed for hybrid additive and subtractive manufacturing of #thermosetmatrixcomposites . The two Lombard companies, active for years in the field of large format additive manufacturing ( #LFAM ), have combined their respective strengths and expertise to create a new hybrid technology ( #3Dprinting and CNC milling) dedicated to processing fiber reinforced thermoset composite materials. The reliability and robustness of Belotti CNC machining centers meet the pioneering approach of Moi Composites (tech provider and spin off of Politecnico di Milano) to offer companies in the aerospace, marine, energy, and automotive sectors a unique industrial manufacturing technology: “ #Belotti Powered by Moi”, aimed at reducing time to market, increasing precision, and simplifying production pr...
