Advancing high-quality #circularsolutions for industrial #packaging in Europe.

#GCR Plastics solutions launched a strategic collaboration with #RIGK GmbH to carry out an advanced industrial recycling trial for post-consumer #packaging from the German PAMIRA and GVÖ systems.

The trials combined controlled collection and traceability at source (via RIGK) with advanced mechanical #recycling technologies at our recycling facility, part of a €100M investment programme aligned with the upcoming hashtag

#PPWR.


Advanced hot washing, sorting, extrusion and high-efficiency deodorisation processes were implemented to eliminate contaminants and volatile substances, achieving purity levels not previously attainable in these complex industrial streams.


With full analytical validation (including chromatography and pilot-scale performance testing), the project demonstrates that highly demanding post-consumer #industrialpackaging can be safely reintegrated into new production cycles with robust quality, safety and traceability assurance.


Following the successful validation of the process and material quality, several leading European industrial packaging converters expressed their commitment to proactively anticipate the requirements of the hashtag

#PPWR by progressively integrating these recycled materials into their production, once full technical compliance and consistency are demonstrated.


This initiative marks an important step toward raising industrial recycling standards and strengthening credible circular value chains across Europe.
