A sidewall bulge or bubble on a tyre an abnormal,noticeable protrusion or lump appears on the side of the tyre.

Manufacturing defect(rare) a bulge where layers fail to bond correctly.

Service issue impact breaks that happens during normal operation hitting, pathholes , curbs etc


Green tyre manufacturing before curing ie air entrapment between plies,Improper ply tension or overlap ,sidewall splice defect open or misaligned misaligned splice ,contamination.


During curing stage i.e. vulcanization in press different causes as leaky bladders ,undercure or overcure,Improper loading or alignment in mould i.e. sidewall distortion,excessive heat or poor curing cycles.


For preventive measures some areas include the use of a vacuum system or venting to avoid trapped air ,regular bladder inspection and replacement,monitor curing cycles ,mould alignment and press uniformity.

During servicing avoid potholes,impacts etc ,maintain correct inflation pressure.

Lummus Technology announced Vioneo has selected its Novolen®

polypropylene (PP) technology for a new grassroots plant in #Antwerp , Belgium. The plant will be part of Vioneo’s complex that, once complete, will be the world’s first industrial scale fossilfree plastics production complex. The complex, based on green methanol as feedstock, will also be highly electrified using renewableelectricity and use renewable hydrogen as key components to its operations. The first-of-its-kind plant will have a capacity of 200 kta and will use 100pc segregated green #propylene and #ethylene as feedstock to produce a wide range of #PP grades.
