Polyether PU:

Polyester PU:

๐Ÿ›ข️ Better abrasion and oil resistance

๐Ÿ›ข️ Suitable for applications requiring higher mechanical durability


But choosing a PU resin isn't as simple as comparing two labels.The final performance also depends on molecular weight, hard-segment ratio, isocyanate structure, chain extender and crosslinking.


๐ŸŽฏ That's why the better approach is: Application environment → Performance target → Failure risk → Resin structure.


๐Ÿ’ก In polyurethane formulation, the best resin isn't necessarily the one with the highest individual performance. It's the one that provides the right balance for the application.
