A new labeling technology from #Securikett replaces conventional heat sealing with a secure #labelingsolution. The system combines multiple functions in a single label, offering a solution that is safer, faster, and more cost-efficient than traditional heat-sealing processes.

This multifunctional label solution integrates several technologies: structured #adhesivecoatings, built-in VOID technology, precisely applied #siliconecoatings, and custom die-cutting. The interaction of these components creates a packaging solution that unites security, functionality, and regulatory compliance in a single design.

The tamper-evident seal immediately indicates if a package has been opened or tampered with, thanks to an integrated #VOIDeffect. At the same time, functional elements such as ventilation holes or viewing windows can be directly incorporated into the label.

A key innovation lies in the sealing method: instead of a traditionally welded lid, the tray is securely closed by the label itself. The label can be applied automatically using labeling or dispensing systems, offering a new approach to secure packaging solutions – completely heat-free.

“We have combined multiple technologies so that they work together within a single label,” explains Vanessa Mitterer-Kling, Head of Research and Development. “This creates a packaging solution that is not only tamper-evident but can also be efficiently integrated into existing production processes. While tamper-evident security solutions have been used for years, for example in cash transport pouches, this development now introduces comparable security mechanisms for tray and cup packaging for the first time.
