When dealing with porous substrates—like specialized acoustic foams, unsealed metals, or composite plastics—surface-level adhesion is a guarantee of future delamination. Most standard tapes are too viscous. They sit flat on top of the microscopic craters, leaving 60% of the actual surface area completely untouched.


The secret to structural longevity here is "wicking." By modifying the adhesive's rheology (its flow characteristics), we can ensure it deeply penetrates into the microscopic pores of the substrate before it fully sets. Instead of just relying on chemical tack, the adhesive creates thousands of microscopic physical anchors. This "mechanical interlocking" is what turns a temporary surface grip into a permanent, structural bond.

If your tapes are peeling off complex foams or composites, you don't need a stickier tape. You need a better flow.
