Processors are working with a broader range of materials than ever before: recycled feedstocks, filled compounds, abrasive formulations, high-moisture materials and products with complex additive packages. Many respond differently under heat and shear, making stable processing harder to maintain over long production runs.


The consequences are often gradual — pressure instability, inconsistent product quality, excessive wear, reduced throughput. The system keeps running, but no longer at the level originally expected.


This is driving a fundamental shift in equipment design: from targeting maximum output capacity toward understanding how materials actually behave during processing.
