This compression mold was developed for MRI equipment

components manufactured in SMC material. The project required high dimensional accuracy, stable molding performance, and an excellent surface finish to meet the requirements of the medical industry.

From mold design and CNC machining to polishing and assembly, every process was completed in-house at MDC.


Multiple heating zones were integrated to ensure uniform temperature distribution during production.

Nature created the first micro-gear long before any human engineering existed. One such example is the Issus coleoptratus (shown in the picture). Furthermore, only now are we reaching the point where injection-molded polymer microgears can approach this level of performance.
