Sidel has introduced an interactive Packaging Optimisation Tool

Sidel has introduced an interactive Packaging Optimisation Tool designed to help producers identify potential savings in PET primary packaging. The tool enables users to simulate adjustments such as bottle neck, body and base redesign, partial labelling, and the integration of recycled PET.

By modelling different scenarios, users can evaluate annual savings in both costs and greenhouse gas emissions. According to Sidel, lightweighting alone can deliver significant reductions, including up to 40% in neck weight, 35% in body weight and 20% in the base.

Additional technologies, such as EvoBLOW Laser and advanced labelling and film solutions, offer further material savings while maintaining performance. The tool aims to support more efficient packaging design and contribute to reduced material use and lower carbon footprints.
