Not every application demands advanced high-performance polymers, but when it does, compromise isn’t an option. In industries where heat, wear, chemical exposure, and tight tolerances intersect, material selection directly impacts reliability, uptime, and safety. That’s where Ketron™ PEEK stands apart.
Designed for the most demanding environments, Ketron™ PEEK offers a rare combination of mechanical strength, thermal stability, and chemical resistance, making it a trusted solution across aerospace, semiconductor, oil & gas, and industrial markets.
Fast Facts — What You Need to Know
Continuous use temperatures up to 480°F (250°C)
Excellent chemical resistance, even in harsh environments
High strength and stiffness compared to many engineering plastics
Low moisture absorption for superior dimensional stability
Outstanding wear and fatigue resistance
Available in multiple grades for application-specific performance
Engineered for Extreme Environments
Ketron™ PEEK (polyetheretherketone) is a semi-crystalline, high-performance thermoplastic engineered for environments where conventional plastics - and even some metals - fall short. It maintains mechanical integrity at elevated temperatures and under continuous load, reducing the risk of deformation or premature failure.
Its resistance to hydrolysis and aggressive chemicals makes it particularly valuable in semiconductor processing, fluid handling systems, and oil & gas applications. Even in steam or high-pressure washdown conditions, Ketron™ PEEK retains its performance characteristics.
Strength Without the Weight
In applications traditionally dominated by metal components, Ketron™ PEEK can provide weight reduction without sacrificing strength or durability. This makes it especially attractive in aerospace and high-speed industrial systems where reducing mass improves efficiency and performance.
The material’s inherent wear resistance and low friction properties also contribute to longer service life and reduced maintenance intervals.
Precision Where It Counts
Dimensional stability is critical in high-performance environments. Ketron™ PEEK’s low moisture absorption and consistent machinability support tight tolerances and repeatable performance, even in fluctuating temperature and humidity conditions.
Multiple grades, including unfilled, glass-filled, carbon-filled, and bearing grades, allow engineers to tailor performance characteristics to specific load, wear, or thermal requirements.
Why It Matters
When failure isn’t an option, material selection becomes strategic. Ketron™ PEEK delivers durability, chemical resistance, and thermal performance that extend part life and improve system reliability, reducing downtime and total cost of ownership.
