Avient Supports Resia Manufacturing to Create Prefabricated, Modular Components for Multi-Family Housing

Avient Corporation, an innovator of materials solutions, is pleased to announce a successful collaboration with its valued customer, Resia, a vertically integrated real estate company that specializes in developing, building, and managing multifamily communities, and through its #ResiaManufacturing (RM) subsidiary, specializes in the fabrication of bathroom and #kitchenpods for modular construction across the United States.

Using their Resia Production System (RPS) along with their patent-pending panel system, RM produces high-quality, fully assembled, ready-to-install kitchen and bathroom components for residential buildings. Their cutting-edge HybridFabrication process enables highly efficient production of components, complete with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, from their 252,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Fairburn, Georgia. The completed components are then transported to construction sites, where they are installed exponentially faster than with traditional building methods. This process reduces construction timelines by up to 30% while improving quality and reduces on-site labor by 40%, enhancing safety and efficiency.

RM incorporates Avient’s Hammerhead™ Thermoplastic Composite Panels into their interior wall systems in bathroom and kitchen modules. The large-format sandwich panels provide a lighter-weight structural solution that is faster to assemble than traditional stick-framed drywall or gypsum wall systems.

“Hammerhead composite panels are a cost-effective and durable solution for our wall systems,” said Mitch Sklar, Director of Manufacturing Quality at Resia. “Our collaboration with Avient has helped us to further streamline our manufacturing processes, allowing us to meet production targets quickly and efficiently.

We’re proud to work with an industry leader like Resia and to bring our thermoplastic composite materials to the modular construction market,” said Mike Mosley, General Manager of Advanced Composites at #Avient. “Their intelligent and efficient processes are truly revolutionizing the way housing is constructed, and we are excited to be able to contribute to their success.”

Avient and Resia will exhibit together at the upcoming 2025 World of Modular, from April 7 to 10, in booths 1028 and 1030 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada.

At the show, Avient will also feature its newest innovation, Hammerhead™ FR Flame Retardant #CompositePanels, an industry-first, patent-pending #thermoplasticcomposite sandwich structure with integrated flame retardant properties. These panels provide a lightweight structural solution for modular construction walls, #floors, and #ceilings and eliminate the need for secondary processes or additional coatings to achieve #FRperformance.
