Instead, the plant ran 25 kg of PVC Purge through the unit. As it extruded through the system, the purge compound mechanically scrubbed the carbon deposits from the screw, barrel and adaptor. Thyssenkrupp Uhde’s subsidiary #UhdeInventa -Fischer has signed a contract with the Turkish packaging producer #KÖKSAN for the delivery of a #PETproduction plant. The plant will be located in Yumurtalık, Turkey. The new production line will have a capacity of 324,000 tons of PET resin per year, suitable for all kinds of packaging applications and bulk continuous filament (BCF) production. Completion and commissioning are planned for 2028. The plant will utilize the patented Melt-To-Resin (MTR®) process by Uhde Inventa-Fischer, enabling a significant reduction in energy consumption. #thyssenkruppUhde’s scope includes the license, basic and detail engineering, and the supply of all major plant equipment. The 1.1 GW Thor offshore wind farm, currently under construction some 22 kilometres off the west coast of Jutland, will comprise 72 Siemens Gamesa SG 14-236 DD wind turbines rated at 15 MW, half of which will be equipped with steel towers produced with a lower carbon footprint, while 40 turbines will feature a total of 120 recyclable rotor blades.
